Our lending program – The Climate Friendly Bikes program is a fleet of twenty Diamondback Outlooks that are available for National Park Service employees that live and work in El Portal, CA and wish to use the bike for commuting.  We have been managing this innititive since July 2011 and have logged over 4,500 miles ridden.  The vast mojority of these miles are instead of car use.  In the United States automobiles average about 21 miles per gallon, so our 4,500 miles eleminates roughly 4,200 lbs of carbondioxide.
